Our commitment

CanWell Dispensary is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disability. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

As a health service, we recognise that accessible digital services are particularly important. We want all patients and users to be able to access information about our prescription dispensing services.

What we've done

We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility:

• pages use semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading levels
• colour contrast has been considered across light and dark display modes, with a dark mode toggle available
• images include descriptive alternative text
• the site is designed to be responsive and usable on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
• navigation is consistent across all pages
• links are descriptive and meaningful in context

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved:

• some form elements on the prescription submission page may not be fully optimised for all screen readers
• PDF or image-based documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible
• we have not yet conducted a full independent accessibility audit

We are actively working to address these issues.

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is developed by the W3C and explains how to make web content more accessible to people with disability.
